Hard Reset

It's been quite a while since I posted a new blog entry. Life intervened: my father's passing, my recent retirement from the day job (after a period of mega-overtime), and family health issues evaporated every ounce of creative energy. Candidly, I didn't have the gumption to write much, and my writer's block even extended to the blog. Stress can be an inspiration killer, eh? Hopefully, some of you can sympathize.

But — finally — I'm working to regain my writer's footing and get my groove back! Slowly, painfully, I've been able to generate some short fiction and even poetry inspired by a recent hiking trip to the Huron-Manistee National Forest north of my hometown. Baby steps....

In that spirit, I wanted to share a link to the latest issue (#9) of Neon Origami Magazine, which includes my eco-fiction short story, "Hard Reset." KInd of sums up my personal writing journey, eh? ;-) I'm pleased with how this story turned out, especially with the invaluable editorial insights provided by Neon Origami. If you enjoy fiction with an attitude, please check it out!
